Combined standings
The event standings, with all races together: by a formula, by the sum of the point table's points or by times converted to 500 m, category by category (or gender, group…). It is the first sub-tab of the Standings tab; the second, in Time mode, is the lap-by-lap overall standings.
| Rank | Bib | Athlete | Club | Total | Status | Detail by race |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 101 | Rosalie Duquerroy | PRJ | 1:28.593 | 500 m Femmes: 42.710; 1500 m Femmes: 2:17.650 | |
| 2 | 103 | Milena Dvořáková | SGS | 1:28.933 | 500 m Femmes: 43.300; 1500 m Femmes: 2:16.900 | |
| 3 | 102 | Océane Lebrasseur | SLB | 1:29.180 | 500 m Femmes: 42.840; 1500 m Femmes: 2:19.020 | |
| 111 | Lotte Verhaegen | SLB | Incomplete: t1500 | 500 m Femmes: 43.050 |
- The sub-tabs of the Standings tab.
- The settings: method, unit, races counted; “Advanced” folds away the unranked athletes and the decimals.
- The outputs and the summary.
- One table per unit (here: Senior women). The total of a time formula is written as a time (1:28.593).
Combined standings
Where: Standings, first sub-tab (both modes)
The event standings by unit. They are recalculated with each change of setting or result. For each athlete: rank (ties 1-2-3-3-5 at the chosen precision), total, status (empty if ranked; the code of an unranked athlete; “Incomplete: 1500 m Femmes” if a race is missing, “Incomplete: t1500” with a formula; “Excluded (…)” with a red card) and the detail by race. A race counts by its best valid time.
Position In Position mode, there is only one method, the sum of the point table's points, and the “Method” list is not shown; it is the only sub-tab.
The settings
Method Time
Where: Standings › Combined standings, settings
- Combined event formula
- A total calculated by a formula on the races' times.
- Points (scale)
- The sum of the points from each race's point table (the highest total wins).
- Times converted to 500 m
- Each time divided by its distance in 500 m units (a 1500 m counts for a third), truncated, then added up (the lowest total wins): 42.710 + 2:17.650 / 3 = 42.710 + 45.883 = 88.593. A time is needed in each counted race: with races by gender (“500 m Femmes”, “500 m Hommes”), everyone would be “Incomplete”. Then count the races of only one gender, or use a formula (“t500 + t1500/3”: each athlete takes the variable of the race they raced).
Formula Time
Where: Standings › Combined standings, settings (“Formula” method)
An expression on the races' times, or the name of a formula from the template. The short form “2x500+2x1500/3” means “2*t500 + 2*t1500/3” (two 500 m plus two thirds of the 1500 m). Signs are read as written: “+” adds, “-” subtracts; “2x500-2x1500/3” therefore means “2*t500 - 2*t1500/3” (two 500 m minus two thirds of the 1500 m). Functions: meilleur, somme, moyenne, min, max (best, sum, average, min, max). The help text recalls the variables of the counted races; an error is named with its position (“Unknown name “t3000” at position 9.”).
Best races counted (empty: all)
Where: Standings › Combined standings, settings (“Points” method)
Count only each athlete's N best results (a race not counted is marked “(not counted)” in the detail). Empty: all races count.
Rank by
Where: Standings › Combined standings, settings
The ranking unit: “Category and gender”, “Category”, “Gender”, “Entry group” or “Whole event”. One table per unit. An athlete's category is that of their entry.
Races counted
Where: Standings › Combined standings, settings
The races that go into the standings (ticked) and, with a formula, the name of each in the formula: the template's (formula variable), otherwise “t” and the distance (“t500”).
Order of unranked athletes
Where: Standings › Combined standings, settings, Advanced
The order of unranked athletes after the ranked ones: codes separated by commas, from first to last; “NT/DNF” puts two codes tied. Empty: the template's order (officiating codes).
Decimals (truncation and ties)
Where: Standings › Combined standings, settings, Advanced
The precision of the totals: they are truncated to this number of decimals, and two totals equal at this precision are tied.
Save settings
Where: Standings › Combined standings, settings
Keeps these settings in the event template (logged): they come back at the next opening, and the standings place on the athlete cards (Line-up module) follows them. Otherwise, they apply to the session only.
Refresh
Where: Standings › Combined standings, settings
Reloads the results from the database and redoes the standings.
