Results
The results heat by heat: those that come from FINISH, those you enter or correct by hand, then making them official, which freezes them. At the bottom, what these results produce: the race standings by time (Time mode) or the round outcome (Position mode).
This module is shown in Position mode only: in Time mode, results come from FINISH and are read in the overall standings (Standings module).

- The race, its summary, and the exchange with FINISH.
- The race's heats with their status and the source of their results.
- The reason and the commands for the selected heat.
- Entry: one row per athlete; a faulty row says why.
- The race standings (or the round outcome).
The top bar
Event
Where: Results, top bar
The race whose heats are shown. The summary next to it: “9 heat(s): 3 official, 2 raced, 4 to race or partial.”
Import results
Where: Results, top bar
The same button as the one in the banner: the results from FINISH (“Complete” .LIF or shared database). See Import results.

The heats
Heat list
Where: Results, on the left
The race's heats (grouped by round in Position mode), with their status — To race, Partial results, Raced, Official — the number of starts and the source of the results: “FINISH (.LIF)”, “FINISH (database)”, “Entry”. Click a heat to enter or correct it (“Choose a heat on the left.”).
Heat results
Where: Results, in the middle
One row per athlete in the heat: start position, bib, athlete, club, then the cells to fill in:
- Place Position
- The finishing place (optional in Time mode).
- Time
- Flexible format: “41.23”, “41,23”, “2:33.” (2 min 33 s), “1:02.345” or “1.02.34” (numeric keypad). A code typed here (“DNF”) goes into the Code cell.
- Code
- An officiating code from the template (DNF, DNS, NT, DQ…); a reason typed as a code gives the code of its action.
- Reason
- The reason for a penalty (“P-CHARGE”); required for a code that demands it (“DQ P-CHARGE”).
Then, recalculated with each keystroke: Rank (1-2-3-3-5; by time in Time mode, by place in Position mode), Gap, Advances? Position (the outcome: qualified, not qualified, eliminated…, with the explanation in a tooltip), Source, and Error: a faulty row says why and blocks saving. A changed row is highlighted.
Reason (log)
Where: Results, above the entry grid
The reason for a correction, for making results official or for withdrawing that status: it is written to the log of interventions (“reason for the correction”). Required to withdraw official status.
Save
Where: Results, above the entry grid
Writes only the changed rows; each change goes to the log (before / after, reason). “Results of heat Pair 4 saved (1 line(s)).”. Refused for an official heat: withdraw the official status first.
Undo changes
Where: Results, above the entry grid
Forgets the entry in progress and goes back to the saved results.
Places from times Position
Where: Results, above the entry grid
Gives a place to each row that has a time but no place, in the order of the times.
Make the heat official
Where: Results, above the entry grid
The heat's results become official (every row needs a result): it is locked and can no longer be corrected without withdrawing the official status; this is logged. The race becomes “Finished” when all its heats are official; its standings are then “official” for the scoreboards.
Make the round official Position
Where: Results, above the entry grid
Makes all the round's heats official (all raced), after confirmation, and locks the round. The next round is then generated in the Line-up module.
Withdraw official status
Where: Results, above the entry grid
Unlocks the heat to correct it. The reason is required (“Enter the reason for withdrawing the official status.”) and logged.
At the bottom
Race standings Time: across all heats, by time — rank, bib, athlete, club, heat, time, gap, code, points. Round outcome Position: the stage outcome according to its X+Y criterion (“2 qualified, … in the lower bracket, … eliminated”), with the outcome and explanation of each decision; provisional until all heats of the stage have their results. For a final, the final standings are in the Line-up module (Standings sub-tab).
These messages are now in the event log, the panel on the left of the main window.
