Log

A single log for all of EVENT, in the left-hand panel of the main window: what FINISH, the imports, the calculations, the publication, the corrections and EVENT itself say, line by line, to the second, each in its own colour.

The log panel

Log

Where: main window, on the left

The left-hand panel shows the log of the open event and of all of EVENT. It replaces the logs the tabs used to have: the log of actions of the Heats tab, the seeding calculation log, the heat log (Results), the overall standings log and the broadcast log. Each entry gives its time to the second (HH:mm:ss) and its source by a colour; hover over it for its detail (what changed, the author).

The panel can be set as you like: hide it (the button of the panel, or the Log button of the status bar), drag the separator to set its width (kept on the computer), or undock it into a floating window that you place where you want, on another screen for example; close it, or dock it back, to put it back on the left. In line-up full screen, the panel hides.

The sources

Each box of the legend is also a filter: untick it to hide its entries; All shows them all again. The field under the legend keeps only the entries that contain the text typed (a heat, an athlete, a race…).

Pages and reset

The latest entries are at the top, 50 per page; the arrows at the bottom lead to older pages and back to the latest (“Page 1 / 3 · 128 entry(ies)”). The log thus keeps the whole session.

Reset (icon of the panel) empties the display, at any time, to keep only the transactions that follow.
