A competition at the trackside
The Hollywood Cup: forty transponders (1 foot) on the “Anneau A” board, about twenty races. A volunteer runs MAPPING next to the board; the timekeeper is at the FINISH station.
- Before the first race
MAPPING is connected (green banner), write access is accepted. In Distribution, tap Put everything back on the board: the station forgets what it noted during a previous session.
- Hand out the transponders
The transponders of the athletes of the first race are already faded (out). For the next races, a transponder that comes back from a race and will be used again shows “Next: Marc R. · P05”: double-tap it when you hand it to that athlete.
- Take the transponders back
At the end of a race, the athletes return their transponders: double-tap each ghost that comes back. With automatic return, those that did not come back are circled in orange (“TO RETURN”).
- An athlete took the wrong transponder
Races tab, on the athlete's tile: Choose on the board, then tap the hook the athlete really wears. Or tap slot no. 1 and type the usual code (“87”).
Green message “FINISH applied…”; the timekeeper sees the change in the banner.
- The race has already started
MAPPING warns that the timekeeper will have to confirm. FINISH shows the request; until it is applied, the message says “Waiting for the timekeeper”. A finished race can no longer be changed: MAPPING refuses on the spot.
