Races
One card per race, in start order, like FINISH's Assignment tab; one tile per athlete, in the athlete's colours.
- The session summary and the key to duplicates.
- The race in progress, circled in green: name, start time, status chip.
- A tile: the athlete (name, position, bib) and slots no. 1 and no. 2 (identifier, usual code, hook). Here 2 feet: two transponders from hook A3.
- 1 foot: a single transponder; slot no. 2 is free (“+”).
- Yellow ▲: the transponder has already been used in a race far enough away (normal).
- Red ✖: conflict (the same transponder in two races too close together); the tooltip says which.
- “Choose on the board”: the board thumbnail opens (below).
Cards and tiles
A race card shows its name, its time (“scheduled 14:20”, “start 14:02”), its status (the running race is circled in green) and its duplicates “▲ 2 ✖ 1”. Each tile shows the athlete (name, otherwise bib), the position and slots no. 1 and no. 2: identifier, usual code and hook (“A4”).
- Yellow ▲: transponder reused in a race far enough away (normal).
- Red ✖: conflict; the tooltip says which.
Finished races are shown on request (Settings).
Changing a transponder
Tap the slot (no. 1 or no. 2): the list of transponders known to FINISH opens, filtered as you type (“87” is enough), with their hook and where they are already used. OK sends; Remove this transponder empties the slot. The slot shows ⏳ until FINISH answers.
- Upcoming or loaded race: applied at once.
- Started race: MAPPING warns; the timekeeper confirms in FINISH (2 minutes).
- Finished race, or transponder already worn in the race: refused on the spot.
Choose on the board
The Choose on the board button of each tile opens the board thumbnail. Transponders in colour are available: tap a hook, its transponders go to the athlete for this race (the first to no. 1, the second to no. 2). Ghosts cannot be chosen; their tooltip says whose they are. Once FINISH has applied it, the hook becomes a ghost for that athlete.
Without write access, the button is greyed out and its tooltip says why.
- The athlete and the race, then the instructions.
- The number of hooks that can be given.
- A ghost: faded, with the athlete who has it; it cannot be chosen.
- An available hook, blue frame: tapping it gives all its transponders (double hook: 2 feet; single: 1 foot).
- The message when a ghost is tapped: who has it.
- The bubble of an available hook: what tapping it will give.
