ChronoFEED TABLEAU Help
The display for the public, the athletes and the camera. TABLEAU receives what FINISH broadcasts — the loaded races, the running clock, the laps, the standings —, picks a layout for the current moment of the competition, and draws it on a giant screen or on a green background for video. It also shows the overall standings broadcast by EVENT.

Receive, choose, draw
- Receive. TABLEAU finds FINISH on the network (or goes through your Redis server) and receives the state of its races in progress, then every change. It does not time anything and has no access to the database.
- Choose. The scenario looks at the state of the races in FINISH and chooses the moment: presentation, race, results, pause, overall standings, advertising. Each moment has its own view.
- Draw. A view is a 1920 × 1080 layout: a banner and cards (one per athlete, per race…), made of elements that each show a field. The screen draws it on every frame and only touches what changes.

The example data
The examples in this help use a fictitious federation, clubs and athletes: SPEEDSKATING FAMOUS (SKF), HOLLYWOOD SPEEDSKATING (HSK), nine clubs and eighty athletes, the Coupe Hollywood at the Starford oval (400 m), the same as in the FINISH and EVENT help. The photos are drawn avatars, and the businesses in the ads are made up.
