Getting started

From the first launch to a race on the screen, then a first view of your own: a quarter of an hour, with FINISH already installed on the same network.

1. Launch TABLEAU

  1. FINISH first

    On the timing computer, FINISH is running with its broadcast active (the default).

  2. Then TABLEAU

    Launch ChronoFEED-TABLEAU on the computer connected to the screen.

    A black window with the delivered view “Classement (par défaut)”: the background, and the time in the banner. On first startup, the model views are installed.

  3. The control panel

    F2: the panel opens on the right.

    CONNECTION: “Connected to 192.168.10.20 · 0 race(s) in progress · …”. TABLEAU found FINISH on its own. If not, see If the scoreboard shows nothing.

2. A race on the screen

  1. Load a race in FINISH

    The athletes appear, with their starting colour.

  2. The start, the passings

    The clock runs in the banner; at each passing, the last lap, the laps to go and the standings change, and the cards slide to their new place.

  3. The end

    The race stays as long as it is finished in FINISH; when FINISH marks it as run, it leaves the screen.

In Automatic mode (SCENARIO section of the panel), TABLEAU moves on its own from introduction to race to results: see Scenario and moments.

3. Try the views without a race

Tick Preview (sample values, without FINISH) (VIEWS section), then, for the Race moment, choose the model views one after the other: “Exemple-Tableau”, “Exemple-Quartet”, “Exemple-Presentation”… The screen shows them with sample values. Untick the preview to go back to the real races.

4. A first view of your own

  1. Open the editor

    Ctrl+E. The default view cannot be saved: Duplicate, then View tab, Name “Starford standings”.

  2. Add a field

    “Fields” list, filter “record”: tick Personal best.

    The element appears in the card, selected (pink dotted outline), in white; the preview shows its sample value.

  3. Position it

    Drag it in the preview, or enter its position in the Element tab; the pink handle at the corner resizes it.

  4. Style it like its neighbours

    Choose “Team”, Copy style, choose “Personal best”, Paste style.

  5. Save it and use it

    Ctrl+S, then in the panel: VIEWS → Race “Starford standings”.

5. What next

  • F11 for full screen; Detach to keep the panel on another screen.
