Context help (F1)

Every area, button and setting in VOICE has a key, and every key has its section in this help: the F1 key opens the help exactly where you need it.

The principle

1. One key per element. In the VOICE window, the areas, buttons and settings carry a stable key: etat.muet for the Mute button, reglages.cloche.fichier for “Bell WAV file”. VOICE has no search: these keys are only used for the help.
2. One section per key. In the reference by screen, the section describing an element has its key as its identifier.
3. One table. The file aide/commun/f1/voice.json maps each key to its page and section: "etat.muet": "reference/fenetre-principale.html#etat.muet".
4. F1. VOICE starts from the targeted element and goes up to the window (card, tab, window), noting each key: the first one known to f1.json gives the page. A label without a key leads to the section of its card; a spot with nothing, to the page of the displayed tab.

Where the help is

VOICE opens the help installed with it (aide folder next to the program), in the language of the software (in French for a page whose translation is still to come); with no help installed, the online help, on the chronofeed.ca site. Without F1: the search in this help (Ctrl+K, at the top of every page) finds “bell”, “countdown”, “mute”…

The Langue / Language menu is created by the program: it has no key of its own (F1 there leads to the window page); its section has the anchor menu.langue.
