History

What the database contains, across all sessions: races, athletes, transponders, laps and overall standings. To find, correct or delete; each tab reads the database when it is first opened.

History, Races tab, automatically set to the loaded session (sample data).
  1. The five tabs.
  2. The tab's filters and commands.
  3. The grid (paging at the bottom; clicking a header sorts, on the database side).

What the tabs have in common

  • Session filters: when a session is loaded, the tabs set themselves to it once (search = its competition, the session's discipline, the session's athletes); what you choose afterwards is never imposed again. Clear filters shows everything.
  • Discipline: “All disciplines”, then those written in the database; a free practice lap has no discipline.
  • Paging: 50, 100, 250 or 500 rows per page; the search runs 350 ms after the last keystroke; F5 rereads.
  • Record (right-hand panel): the selected row, editable; moving to another row with a modified record offers to save (Ctrl+S). Ctrl+N creates one.

Races

Where: History, first tab

One row per race and per technology (transponder, photocell, photo finish, manual): status (Not raced, Loaded, In progress, Finished, Raced), start, competition, race, technology, mode, distance, laps, track, athletes, timed laps (valid / recorded), discipline, venue, level. Filters: search (“Competition or race…”), from… to…, distance, discipline, status.

  • Detail and report…: athletes, standings, laps (one row per athlete, one column per lap), passings received during the race, JSON; a report for the control room, to print or save as HTML.
  • “View the laps of this race”: the Laps tab, filtered on it.
  • Race record: competition, race, start, mode, distance, laps, track, start line, min. and max. lap durations, discipline, level, venue… Status: here, only “Raced” or “Not raced” (the others are the states of a race on screen).
  • Below the race name, in the record: the list of its competitors, in start order (position, bib, name, team; an inactive competitor is dimmed). The other fields come below.
  • Right-click a race: Detailed race report… (the same as “Detail and report…”), View the laps of this race, Delete the race… (“Delete the N races” when several are selected). The clicked race becomes the chosen race, unless it is already part of the selection.
  • deletes the selection: what this technology recorded; the race and its results only go with the last technology. After a deletion, rereading the session file puts the race back “in the list”.

Transponders

Where: History, third tab

The transponders in the database: code (printed), usual code (“3_BLANC”), type, start position, owner, athlete reference, battery, rental, active, read quality (share of good reads), number. Filters: search, status, type. Multiple selection; New transponder, Import from Excel… (an .xlsx list: “N added, M updated, K unchanged”, with the remarks).

The record: printed code or number (formatted and checked according to the type: RACE RESULT 7 characters, MYLAPS “KZ-01234” or a number…), type, start position (0 = none; used for automatic assignment and by the numeric keypad), usual code, owner, athlete reference, battery, Rented, Active (loaded by FINISH at startup). To retire a transponder without losing anything, uncheck “Active” rather than deleting it (the laps keep its number).

Laps

Where: History, fourth tab

Every recorded lap, per technology: timestamp, competition, race, technology, athlete, reference, lap, lap time (“Off target” if it falls outside the min/max), race time, valid, transponder, venue. Filters: the race (coming from the Races tab, to remove it), athlete, discipline, from… to…, min. and max. lap time, Valid only, Planned slots (not yet timed). Selection: Confirm (validate), Invalidate, Delete. The record corrects a lap: Valid lap (counts in standings), lap time, race time, lap number, athlete, reference, description.

Overall standings

Where: History, fifth tab

The overall standings times kept in the database (see Settings › Overall standings): one row per athlete, race and distance covered, with the time from each technology (transponder, photocell, photo finish, manual), the live position, the position, final, annotation, official. Reread at each opening, since it changes during the competition. Filters: competition, athlete, discipline, race, distance, index (the n-th time the athlete races that distance in the competition), gender, from… to…, official time, Final times only.

The selection can be deleted, except the rows of a race loaded or in progress in FINISH. A row that has an official time has been processed by EVENT (the official time belongs to it): shown in color, delete with care.
