ChronoFEED FINISH Help

An athlete asks to see or delete their results

At the Hollywood Cup, the father of Maëlle Corbineau (A001, 11 years old) comes to the timing table: he wants to see what the ChronoFEED results database keeps for his daughter, have one result deleted, and have nothing more of hers published.

Any timekeeper with a FINISH licence can do it (FINISH itself sends no results: EVENT publishes them): it is enough to know the athlete's identity (first name, last name, date of birth, country), which the FINISH record gives. Internet is needed.

1. Find the record

  1. History › Athletes

Search “Corbineau”, then Full record… (or double-click the card).

  2. Check the identity

First name Maëlle, last name CORBINEAU, date of birth 2015-04-08, country Famousie: have the parent confirm them. If the date of birth or the country is missing, the Shared results section says so in red: complete it, then Save and close and reopen the record.

A spelling different from the one on the other computers gives another key: the results could not be found. Write the athlete as their federation does.

2. View their results

  1. Shared results

Right-hand column, View their results on the server.

“3 result(s) on the server.” The list: competition, race, distance, date, time, received. They are decrypted on this computer; the server still does not know who this is.

3. Delete one, several or all results

  1. One or several

Choose the line (or several with Ctrl / Shift + click), then Delete selection. The confirmation recalls that it is irreversible; type the Reason “father's request” (optional, kept on this computer only), then Delete permanently.

“1 result(s) deleted on the server; it will refuse to receive them again.” The server keeps a trace without content of this result: if EVENT publishes it again, it is refused (“deleted on request”).

  2. All

Delete all deletes everything the server keeps for her, with the same confirmation.

4. Publish nothing more

  1. Publish results

    Untick Publish results.

“The server now refuses any result of this athlete, from any computer.” EVENT can no longer publish her results: the server refuses them, from any computer. EVENT no longer reads anything of hers. Without Internet, the refusal is kept and sent as soon as possible.

  2. Later

If the family changes its mind, tick the box again (from any computer): EVENT can publish her official results again. Those that were deleted do not come back.
