Lapping
On a small track with many athletes circling, you cannot show every lap. Lapping holds one lap, shows it very large for the hold time, then holds the next one to finish. It runs alongside the races without changing anything in them.
- The mode, the hold time and the countdown.
- The held lap: the time as large as possible, the athlete above it, in their colors.
- The last twelve held laps.
Lapping
Where: Timing, last tab (only when lapping is enabled in Settings › Lapping)
A lap is the time between two passings of the same known athlete at the lapping line (a passing sooner than the minimum lap does not count). During the hold time, the other laps are kept; then the first one to finish is held, unless it falls outside the athlete's min/max (with the Hold only… box checked). In pack mode, the lap starts from the passing of the head of the pack (“head / athlete”).
The held lap is also sent to the TABLEAU displays (“Lapping” elements) and to the database (lapping table). The display clears on reset (no lap for 15 min by default), when lapping is disabled, or when the last race leaves the tabs. An unknown transponder is ignored; photocells do not produce laps; “Passings OFF” suspends it.
