Pair a coach's tablet
The coach of the Starlight Blades juniors arrives with her ChronoFEED-COACH tablet: she wants to receive the laps of her six athletes during training. She chooses them in the current session, her access request appears in FINISH, you accept it: done.
1. Prepare FINISH
- The records
History › Athletes: each athlete of the group has a first name, last name, date of birth and country (chosen from the list), and the box Data visible to their coaches ticked (the default). For an athlete who refuses, untick it: they will not be offered to any tablet. The colour of their record is the one the tablet will show.
- The option
, tick Accept ChronoFEED-COACH.
“ChronoFEED-COACH accepted: listening on port 8216, announced on the network.” If the Windows firewall asks, allow FINISH on the private network.
- The session
Open the training session (or let the athletes do a lap): the tablet offers the skaters of the open session and those who did a lap in the last 12 hours.
2. The coach requests access
- On the tablet
On the same Wi-Fi network as FINISH, she opens ChronoFEED-COACH, Synchronization screen (on a PC: Synchronization module), touches Search for FINISH then this station. The athletes of the session appear with their name, club and the colour of their record (never their date of birth); those she already has are circled. She ticks her six athletes and touches Request access.
In FINISH, the window Access request from “Mathilde's tablet” opens by itself, and the request appears in the list Coaches' access requests of the panel, with the time left (5 minutes).
3. Accept all, some or none
- Check who is asking
At the top of the window: the device name, the coach's name, and the holder of her ChronoFEED-COACH licence, checked by FINISH (here “Starlight Blades”).
- The athletes
All are ticked: untick those who are not hers (here Elio Marchetti, from another club, whom she ticked by mistake).
- Answer
Accept the selection (or Accept all, Refuse all).
“Request from “Mathilde's tablet” partly accepted: 6 athlete(s) out of 7.” The tablet shows at once “Anneau de Starford accepted 6 athlete(s) out of 7: they are added to your athletes, the others are refused.” and their list, which the coach checks; their sessions arrive. In the log: athlete list read, access request, paired (“request partly accepted (6 out of 7): AKSOYLU Defne, …”), catch-up.
4. Add an athlete later, or withdraw an access
A new athlete joins the group: the coach ticks her in the session list (the other six are already circled) and sends a new request; you accept it. She is added to the six the coach already has, here as on the tablet. The list Athletes granted to the selected tablet of the panel shows all seven. An athlete leaves the group: choose them in this list, Withdraw access; nothing more of them is sent to this tablet from this station (Give access back undoes it).
5. During training
The session's activity is Training (Session › Session configuration…). Each lap of an athlete of the group reaches the tablet a few seconds after they pass, with their group, gaps and overtakes; at the end of the session, the final version (corrections included). An absent tablet receives everything at its next connection, here or on another FINISH.
